It is home to over 1000 bonsais, penjings and nature-inspired artworks.

Bonsai Vatika is my ode to nature's wonders. In the chaos of modern life, this space grounds me and gives me purpose.

My earliest paintings, my first tree, stone landscapes from my travels, everything I have built and collected over 4 decades lives here in unity.

Through Bonsai Vatika, I try to give back to the magic of the universe that has blessed us all. Thank you for visiting my little sanctuary.

1980

Completed the Primary Bonsai course at the Indo-Japanese Bonsai Association

1983

Completed the Advanced Bonsai Course

1985

Became an active member of the Indo-Japanese Bonsai Association

1988

Built a bonsai terrace garden in Mumbai

2002

Moved the bonsai garden to Karjat

2012

First participation in a bonsai convention

2015

First award at a bonsai convention

2020

Began creating canvas artwork professionally

2021

Garden in Karjat destroyed by a dam burst and monsoon storms

2024

Completed rebuilding the garden, with a new art studio (inaugurated by Mr Peter Chan)
